Midway Bait and Tackle<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Osceola, Indiana<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The painting of the Bait and Tackle shop portrays the small bait store on the corner of CR 16 and Ash Road at the St. Joseph\/Elkhart County Line overlooking the St. Joseph River in Osceola, Indiana.<\/p>\r\n

Due to a recent auto accident, the store, which had been there for decades was destroyed by fire. Just recently the remains of the store have been removed.<\/p>\r\n

This painting portrays an earlier time, as I removed some of the metal buildings. The fisherman and his dog are off to an early start in the morning, for a few hours of fishing.\u00a0 They stopped at the bait shop to pick up some earth worms,as everyone refers to.\u00a0 He must be that \u201cEarly Bird\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

The painting was selected to be part of an exhibit at the Midwest Museum of American Art, located in Elkhart, Indiana from October through the middle of December, 2020.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n
